HIS
offers three T1 options:
- Flat
Rate - allows unrestricted access to the full bandwidth of
your T1, with fixed monthly billing.
- Flat
Rate - dual T1s. Increases bandwidth and reliability by providing
redundant feeds over two T1s. Bandwidth is automatically load-balanced
over the two T1s, with automatic fail-over in the event that one
T1 goes down. Total bandwidth 6 megabits (3 up, 3 down).
- Burstable
- low-cost, single T1 solution for organizations that want T1
reliability and full access to the bandwidth of a full T1, but
don't expect to average a high level of bandwidth usage over the
course of each month.

- Fractional - 384Kb/s 768Kb/s options available.
A
dedicated T1 allows 1.5 bandwidth in each direction - simultaneously.
T1 connection are appropriate for mission-critical applications.
Mean-time-to-repair for T1 circuits is 4 hours, vs. 24 hours for
most other connections, and since T1 are engineered point-to-point
connections, they tend to have fewer problems than ISDN or DSL,
resulting in very high uptime results.
HIS
uses only Cisco routers for T1 connections, for maximum speed and
reliability. HIS-provided routers are covered by 4-hour response-time
Cisco SmartNet maintenance.
